We formed TopTierMD with the conviction that the only credible source for consumers to find top medical care is to ask other doctors for a referral. We asked scores of doctors the simple, but powerful question: “If you needed one doctor for yourself or a loved one, who would you see?”
The outcome of this process was a list of doctors who CONSISTENTLY came up as other physicians’ first and only choice in a given field. While we were introduced to many great doctors, the names of our TopTierMD's are the few that showed up over and over again.

TopTierMD is a valuable source of research and unique medical news featuring the very best doctors as determined by their peers. We cater to consumers seeking access to top medical treatment and advice. TopTierMD is not an advertising directory and physicians CAN NOT buy their way into our exclusive listing. This is what makes our work so valuable and credible.
To be included as a TopTierMD, doctors must receive the overwhelming endorsement of their peers through a Three-Tiered Selection Process. The first step in this process begins with a review of “referring” doctors. Next this group of qualified physicians initiates a thorough evaluation of all physicians within their hospitals. Finally, once a provisional list of candidates emerges, they are subjected to a final review of peers within their particular specialty.
Most certainly, doctors cannot become a TopTierMD by simply paying a fee. They can ONLY be selected through the process described above. Unlike other top doctor directories, TopTierMD provides no special treatment or preference in the selection process based upon advertising fees paid, title, reputation or particular hospital affiliation. Additionally, other directories present themselves with a degree of exclusivity by using the word “Best” or “Top” in their name, yet fail to back this up in substance with an unbiased and transparent selection process.
